Episode 023: Sawaken English Teacher and YouTuber Based in Japan
Hey guys! It is Aiko with Schwagirl. I am an American English pronunciation coach.
Welcome to my podcast "The Voice of English" Season 2.
Season 2 focuses more on communication. In each episode, I bring a guest and he/she will give us tips to become a better communicator as a person who speaks English as a second language.
In Episode 23, I invited Sawaken who is a freelance English teacher and also a popular Youtuber.
Sawaken moved from Japan to Los Angeles to study at the age of 18. He then married an American lady (who was his classmate in college) when he was 24, but the marriage did not last for more than two years. After having lived in Los Angeles and Las Vegas for the total of 15 years, he came back to Japan in 2011. His first job in Japan was a web designer, but later he was introduced to one of the leading English schools, and started teaching English. As of now 2019, he is a freelance English teacher and a YouTuber.
